Skincare
Listen, moving to a new country is stressful enough, but then you add to that stress breaking out your skin as well not knowing which brands are choose. That is just so messy.
Plus you are probably on a budget and don't want to waste your precious dollars. I have you covered with my favourite, immigrant budget friendly picks and links* that get the job done.
Please note, I am not a skincare professional. Just a devotee.
Oil Cleanser (Step 1 Cleanser)
I have tried a lot of fancy cleaners. But this Elf Balm Cleaner melts makeup off - just as well as the higher end options. So save your money.
Anti-aging
I hate the "anti-aging" term, but if you want to increase your collagen production - the best is a doctor's prescription of Retin- A tretinoin cream. The next best is getting an American to bring you some Adapalene/Differin Gel.
CeraVe Moisturizer
CereVe cream is nothing fancy looking, but if you are looking for moisturizer to get the job done. This cream is it. Take it from me. I live in dry, often cold Alberta, where the weather tries to hurt your face.
Biore UV Sunscreen
Although I live in Canada, and the during the winter I miss the sun, there is not a day that I don't apply this Biore UV sunscreen MULTIPLE times a day. Because you got to look after what you got!
Lash Serum
You know what's easy to put apply mascara to? Lashes that aren't tiny little log stumps. The Rapid Lash over the counter serum helped my lashes regrow after babies - when all the post partum hair loss happened.
Red Light Therapy
Regular red light therapy has been one of the best rejuvenation therapies I have done. Once you have the light you can lie down in bed and just let that Hooga red light do it magic.
